well jeez...it's NOT shocking that WSJ Emma Tucker fired the China coverage experts from DC. It's "the journal"! In the present heavily denigrated "news" environment (censored, post-truth, maximal spin, jingoistic, distracted) that prevails in the country, it would be "cheaper" for the Journal to "wing it" with lower quality China coverage: China-BAD! US-Good! What's to discuss? What's there to elucidate? etc etc.
